Why we verify DNS before monitoring

So your competitor never gets alerts about your domain.

Certificate transparency and port 443 are public — anyone could look at your cert's expiry. But operating a monitoring dashboard that names your hosts, sends alerts to your team, and optionally logs into your servers requires proof that you control the domain's DNS.

We give you either a TXT record or a dedicated A record on our verify zone. Once the record resolves, we flip the domain to "verified" and attach it to your workspace forever (until you delete it).

If verification fails, it's almost always TTL or a typo in the record name — wait a few minutes and try again.
